Heartfel Words: An Open Letter to a Postmenopausal Friend

Dear friend,
We know you have something to say, and we listen to you. No, better said, we read you (that message did not go unnoticed!). We understood that talking about postmenopause is not only necessary, it is urgent, and we want to be part of the change you deserve.
We know that post-menopause can feel like uncharted territory, like a chapter that society doesn't often recognize or celebrate enough. But for us, this is a crucial time, a stage full of transformations, learnings, and unique opportunities to rediscover and empower yourself.
Let’s be clear: postmenopause is not “the final stretch.” It is a new chapter full of unique challenges and profound transformations, both internal and external. Because yes, while everyone talks about women going through menopause, who is concerned with what comes after? That “after” can be as revolutionary as any previous stage, and we are committed to giving it the place it deserves.
We want to be your allies, your accomplices, those people who not only understand your challenges, but also seek solutions. Because you are not alone.
Some of the challenges we know you face (and our tips!):
1. Unexpected physical changes:The fight against “gravity”, the bones that now seem to have their own personality, and that metabolism that decided to take a permanent vacation.
Our advice?
👩⚕️ Klara says: "Gravity may be relentless, but your inner strength knows no bounds. Listen to your body: move more, eat well, and give yourself permission to celebrate every wrinkle as a badge of experience. And about those bones with “personality,” don't forget to take your supplements and a good daily walk. You and your bones are a team!"
👩⚕️ Sofia adds: "If your metabolism seems to be on strike, give it a boost with small, nutrient-dense meals and physical activity you enjoy. How about a dance or yoga class? The idea is to keep movement and joy in sync!"
2. An emotional rethink:
After decades of caring for everyone, the time has come to ask ourselves: who is caring for me? Rediscovering ourselves can be liberating, but also unsettling.
👩⚕️ Sofia says: "After years of caring for others, now it's your turn. Ask yourself: What makes me happy? Make time for hobbies, friendships, and activities that nourish you. And don't be afraid to ask for help. Being strong also includes knowing when you need a break."
👩⚕️ Klara adds: "Your emotional wellbeing is just as important as your physical wellbeing. Meditation, writing or even a hot tea with a friend can be your oasis. Rediscovering yourself can be a fascinating journey!"
3. The myth of extinguished desire:
Please! Sexuality doesn't go away; it evolves. And while it sometimes requires creativity (and maybe some miracle lubricant), it remains a vital part of your identity.
👩⚕️ Klara says: "Sexuality matures like a good wine. It doesn't fade, it just changes. Talk openly with your partner (or yourself)
about what you need. And yes, a good moisturizer for the intimate area can be your best ally. Creativity and communication are key!
👩⚕️ Sofia adds: "Intimacy isn't just physical, it's also emotional. At this stage, it can be even deeper and more meaningful. Give yourself permission to explore new ways of connecting."
4. The balance between energy and rest:
That feeling of wanting to take on the world, but also valuing a good nap as gold.
👩⚕️ Sofia says: "It's normal that sometimes you want to conquer the world and the next day you prefer a marathon of naps. Listen to your body: find a balance between activity and rest."
👩⚕️ Klara adds: “Don’t underestimate the power of a good sleep routine. Turn off screens early, relax with a CBDZen dropper, and create a cozy space to sleep in. Your energy will thank you the next day!”
5. Rewrite the relationships:
Redefine your relationships with your partner, children, friends, and especially with yourself.
👩⚕️ Klara says: "Relationships evolve, and so do you. Talk to your loved ones, set boundaries, and prioritize quality time. And don't forget to cultivate the most important relationship of all: with yourself."
👩⚕️ Sofia adds: "Remember that it's okay to say “no” when you need to. Taking time for yourself isn't selfish, it's self-care. And yes, it's okay to go out with friends or dedicate yourself to learning something new without guilt!"
6. Being heard in a noisy world:
In a society that glorifies youth, it is often forgotten that after fifty we have incredible stories to tell and much ahead of us.
👩⚕️ Sofia says: “Your voice matters, and so does your experience. Surround yourself with people who value you and create spaces where you can share your wisdom. This is your time to shine!”
👩⚕️ Klara adds: "If the world isn't listening, speak up. Get involved in community activities, write, teach, inspire. Your story deserves to be told, and there's as much to discover at this age as at any other."
For our part, we are committed to including you in the conversation, listening to what you need and offering you tools, products and platforms that truly respond to your challenges.
